Designed by John Bulla, the Desert Hawk Golf Course opened in 1970.
Desert Hawk Golf Course has narrow, tree-lined fairways and large, undulating greens. Desert Hawk Golf Course was purchased in 1999 by The County of Pueblo. With Art Shaupeter as architect, a $1.2 million renovation commenced. A much needed irrigation system was installed as well as two new greens. All bunkers were redesigned with the elimination of 36 and the installation of 29 new ones.

A good alternative to other Pueblo courses when coming to Pueblo from Denver in the winter. it is much less windy than Walking Stick but not as challenging. I enjoy many winter rounds here
